India will play Ireland; the hosts The FIH Hockey Women's Nations Cup semifinal game between Spain and Japan will take place in Valencia.

 

Ireland will play India in the 2022 FIH Women's Nations Cup semifinal game.

In Valencia's ongoing inaugural FIH Hockey Women's Nations Cup, India, Spain, Japan, and Ireland have advanced to the semifinals. On December 16, Japan will meet the host nation Spain in the other semifinal, while India will face Ireland.

India has played flawlessly in league games and is the clear favourite to win the championship in Valencia. India defeated South Africa 2-0 in the last league game on Wednesday to take first place in Pool B with nine points. The Women in Blue defeated Chile 3-1 in their league debut, and Japan 2-1 in their subsequent match.Gurjit Kaur and Deep Grace Ekka scored goals for India in their most recent match against South Africa, respectively in the 13th and 58th minutes. Although they missed a few penalty corners as the game went on, the Indian dragflickers did manage to score from a penalty corner in the first 13 minutes of play.

encounter. In the second quarter, Gurjit Kaur missed a penalty corner when she struck the ball wide of the goal post. Gurjit, however, was able to convert one in the match's last moments. Anelle van Deventer, the goalie for South Africa, turned away up to seven shots on goal, including penalty corners, which prevented India from winning by a wide margin.

We talked and practised penalty corners a lot before this game because we hadn't performed them as we wanted to in the prior two games, according to Deepa Grace Ekka, who was named player of the match.

After the match against South Africa, Deep Grace Ekka told the FIH website, "We will come prepared for Ireland in the semifinals."

Japan drew 1-1 with Chile in their final league game to secure a spot in the tournament's final four rounds.

Hosts In their most recent league game against Italy, Spain came up empty-handed, and the game ended in a scoreless draw. The semifinal matchup between the Spanish team and the Japanese team will be exciting to see.
